The new school year is upon us! The staff, kids & I'm sure all of us parents are ready! A couple reminders for the 1st Day of School
- School starts at 8am. Students can be dropped off starting at 7:40am (unless you are using before care). Staff will be helping with Carpool & supervising Market Square starting at that time. At 7:52 students will start to line up and teachers will bring their classes in the building.
- The Ringing of the Bell Ceremony starts at 8:20 in Market Square. All are welcome to attend. If you are attending the ceremony please park in the parking lot or designated areas in the neighborhood.
- It is an Early Release Day. School is over at 1pm for everyone.
- Be patient during Carpool (what we call our drop-off & pick-up procedure). We have many new families who are learning the process. Check out our Shared Parent Folder for Maps & Videos of Carpool. A couple of key point to remember about Carpool:
- ONLY use the Kennicott Parking Lot entrance (the 2nd entrance off of Jones Point Road)
- Move up as close to the car in front of you as possible
- Double Stack (make 2 lines of cars) in the parking lot
- Do not park or drive on Amos Bennett (This keeps our students who walk home safe)
